Well maybe they should pay their own employees enough to shop in their stores! That would solve a lot of problems for them and their employees.
This is on par with the “why not just print more money?” nonsense kids ask in their first econ course.
Labor is a product, wage being what the market says your time/effort is worth. Employers cannot underpay for labor just as they can’t for bricks or electricity, the other party can simply refuse.
“Business gives money to employee. Employee spends money in business. Business has profit!”
How about we stop the state from taking money from both businesses and people?
